Live maintenance video help sessions?

Recommended Posts

Been doing more remotely by various net video  apps. As many of you probably are. Which got me wondering if folks would like to stream working on their rides with help from the crew, live ?

great idea!  On that note, lately I've been wondering about my injectors on my 08 340 Monsoon.  I was about to lookup videos on cleaning them since I've never really messed with injectors.  I am the 3rd owner of this boat from what I understand, I have no clue what work was previously done to this thing.  I run a can of seafoam thru the engine about once a month during the summer.  Are the injectors a maintenance item where every 200-300 hours you should be removing, cleaning, reinstalling?  Boat runs great, just wasn't sure considering the age of the boat (675-ish hours).  If so a live walk-me-thru would

I can also hear my Dad whispering "dummy, boat runs great, stop tinkering with it" :)

LOL, OCD is my middle name!  I'm at 935 hours on the 383!  While it's running ok, I feel like this or that would really bring some life back, especially at idle.

I know some folks pull and clean the injectors themselves. Others send them out for testing. My tinker thing is the stereo and LED's.

I may look more into video help sessions as weather warms. Maybe schedule them for saturdays or sundays at a set time, invite a list and let others sign in, let others host to go over their questions, etc.

If it's injectors, dad is screaming it, not whispering it.  Keeping the throttle body clean (including the IAC passage) is probably your best bet for a smooth idle.
