Replacement rubber strip for board racks?

I have a set of board racks on my old Titan tower where the rubber strip that the boards rest on fell off (guessing while towing.   Does anyone have a recommendation for what to replace the rubber strip with.   I thought for a second the rubber that holds the screen into a screen door would work, but it’s much too narrow.  
Thoughts?
