Saw this on Facebook, wondering if anyone has used them?  Looks like they are designed for fishing boats, but I'd be interested if they would work for my Malibu when I have it moored next to the houseboat?

Here is a review.

They look cool, but they have "Greek tragedy" written all over them. The first rogue wave that comes in is going to bend or break one and turn in to a fiberglass eating monster. I think you would be better off with some balls of some sort. I have BABZ and love them.

For the record, I was thinking of using these in addition to large fenders.  Currently we use that and a boat buddy that is tied to the Malibu.  I have found that the fenders can still scratch the boat.

In conjunction with using spring lines to tie her up that would limit some potential issues I imagine.

the review posted states "and with Power-Poles down, you can just tether and go"...tells me these are geared towards fishing boats.   Power Poles are going to do 99% of the work keeping the boat form moving.  The Dockstick is just the icing on the cake to keep the boat from swaying into the dock.  Unless I'm missing something, i dont understand how these would be useful on our boats.

Any sort of wave there would be nothing to absorb shock, resulting in way too much stress on certain points. Just my thoughts.

Those things would be as useless as a screen door on a submarine on any decent sized lake (like Lake Okanagan or Shuswap Lake)
