Is the heat in Malibus from a heater or does it come from engine?

Recommended Posts

Looking at the digital dash of my 2015 23 LSV and it says there's heat, but I'm not sure if my boat has it? There's no heater in the boat. I asked my friend who's a mechanic and he said it might use heat from engine.

Can someone tell me about the source of the heat in Malibus and whether it's optional on 23 LSV or standard?

Would have been an option.  Heat comes from the engine via a hose to a radiator-like heater core with a blower behind it underneath your dash.  Water returns to engine via second hose.  You would see black heat tubes under the dash if you have a heater also.

All the options are built into the screen so it may have been enabled in settings but likely not there.  You can turn on things like docking lights, underwater LED, etc.. the wiring harness is there to support these options.  So its nice you can add it later w/out tons of wiring.
