2020 20VTX In-depth Review

Next I went through all of the interior storage. It’s deeper and more than our 19 I believe. Definitely is on the port side since the batteries are in the bow. The storage areas are finished gel coat with soft grip pieces and deckance covers the surfaces.

Storage is even pretty good around the cooler. We probably won’t keep the cooler in and utilize the whole space, but we’ll see.

Glove box is deep and soft grip lined. And new cup holder next to it for my wife! She’s been complaining she hasn’t had one there since we got our 2013 TXi in 2014...

Oh, there is even a storage light in the floor access hole so you can see the plug and pumps! Very nice tough. Also, the area is clear around the plug so it will be easy to install and remove. Some may view that as minor, but really nice improvement imo.

Great review! And beautiful boat!

Regarding your sub, the factory sub box in my 2018 23lsv vibrated against the fiberglass wall at the top of the box. I could put my toes on the box and clean up the sound as well. So irritating. I had to run a dremel with a drill bit around the top of the box to give it more space. Hopefully it’s something silly like that.

interested what you think of the ski wake when you try it out this year

Me too!  I want to ski behind it myself!  Fortunately for me, @ahopkinsVTX only 20 miles away from my house!

I'm also interested in his surf wave.

We can test both! And I believe it will qualify as outside exercise!

Indeed it will.  I just need to find my wetsuits, etc.  I have no clue what I did with them during the move.  They may still be in the garage at the rental house!

Minor update from tonight. I was hoping/concerned that my anchors wouldn’t really fit in the storage compartment behind the drivers seat. Honestly, they fit way better than in our 19. It also appears I’ll be able to use that space for the provided cooler too which would be nice to have put away and off the floor when we don’t need to take a ton of stuff!

Hoping to go out on the maiden voyage tomorrow!

Someone needs a box anchor group buy.

maybe wired out of phase

B/c there is only one sub (and the amps are crossed over), you wouldn't really notice a big difference in/out of phase (no cancellation).

I think my neoprene geek cap is going to show up today.  I'll come over in my hazmat dry suit with slalom ski and jump in off the dock.  We should have no trouble social distancing that way.

Boat looks great!

Maiden voyage complete! Was 55 and sunny which felt like 75 and sunny. The boat in the sun and on the water is awesome. We love it. M5 is soooooo quite. You can honestly barely hear it run at idle. Still has a good growl at 2-3000 for those who still like that. And it’s silky smooth. You can tell it’s going to have good grit when getting on it!

I really wish the Bu Boat Builder looked that realistic when done.  Looks SOOO much better in real photos than the boat builder.  The white logo really pops too!  Sharp!

Somebody got wet yesterday!  How was that water...???

Let’s just say it took a bit for things to return to “normal”. Worth it for the picture though!!

Thank you. Let’s do it! I think I’m past the hour mark to not exceed 3500rpms.

Thank you!! I was never too worried about how the gel was going to look but I will admit I had doubts about the interior and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out!
