Favorite Apps

The new Malibu operating system allows you to download apps from Amazon’s App Store.  Does anyone have any favorite apps to share?

I downloaded the Amazon music app and have really enjoyed it so far.  I can download my playlists and play them without tying up my phone.

I haven’t had any success with navigation apps because there doesn’t seem to be many good apps and, even if I could find a good app, there doesn’t appear to be any GPS connection.

Yes, it is 50. I spent a little time trying to get Google Play Store to work. Download is fine but launch is not. I assume it is because of no play services and the fact that Malibu is using Marshmallow from 2015.

I’ll spend some more time when I can.

You can use Spotify on it right? I’ll be looking forward to that if so!

Yes, I think so.  I just haven’t downloaded it because I already have a subscription to the Amazon music app.  Same thing.

It’s really nice not to have to open your phone up to see the song that’s playing or to change it, etc.

i've had issues w amazon music app (across two phones).

i'll download a ton of tunes (taking a ton of time) and smile for a few weeks before all of the local tunes magically disappear.

i'm slow so i've allowed the magic act to continue far too many times.

anyone else have similar issues or a fix?

Yes, you can download Spotify as it is on the Amazon App Store. I have it downloaded and loaded saved playlists. It is much slower than a phone of course because of the horsepower of the Viper3, but it "works".

I say "works" because I don't use the Viper3 for audio so I can't actually hear output, but it does load and play.
