on my ‘14 indmar 330 i have a second drain line clipped high with the engine oil pan drain line i use to put extractor hose down

is that for the tranny?  it seems to go in that direction and i need to trace it

is this the way to truly extract the 2+ qts the manual said it contains,

when i drain from dipstick hole you can inly put back less than or maybe  1.7 and it still seems to over fill it

anyone ever use this hose clipped with the oil pan line for tranny fluid extraction ?

Have a picture? I’ve never seen a second drain line with the oil pan drain line.

it secures to top of engine snd terminates to a fitting, similar to heat out for heater on manifold, on top of the bell housing

That looks like the transmission or vdrive vent hose.  It is up high to prevent fluid loss and to keep bilge water from getting in it.

If it was the vent, it wouldn’t be capped, right?

It's not really much of a cap, but more like a crimped, baffled hose cover.
