I'm looking to purchase a new or used launch/judge seat. Any information whether they are still even available through dealers...? Thanks!

probably easier to build one.......a few have done it and they look good. I personally have a Love/Hate relationship with mine......always seems to be in the way....

I built a bow filler and it was pretty easy.  The jump seat would be a bit more work, but doable.  The OEM is fiberglass but you could use wood (ugh) or starboard for the chassis and have it uphostered.

For reference, I got a quote through my local dealer for jump seats in 2013 which came in at $485/seat plus shipping.  This was in 2013 for a 2005 and they were able to match the vinyl and pattern.

Wow, $485.00 !!!! I had no idea they would be that much!

If you build your own, it could be done for less, but if you want quality vinyl with French seams, it'll run close even if you build the base.

I think mine was like $280 from the infamous, mysterious, industrious, and missing Chee.  Pics:

The base is most def factory.  BTW, the OP might want the narrower version; this looks like the old skool  jump seat (like mine)

Of you are going to build one and ours for an open bow walk through, add hinges and make the seat back fold down.  This makes it a lot more usable and doesn't block access.   I modified my factory seat.  I posted it last year.

If it were me doing it again, I'd opt for the one that fits the Lxi next to the spotter seat and then moves (if you want) to behind the driver's seat.  Those are perfect, but not available for the Echelons.  And if I were building one I'd do make it that way too.

I was born and raised in Monticello and then moved away. We had to get back so we bought a lake house on Lake Shafer about 10 years ago and haven't regretted a single minute of it. It was such a great place to grow up and it's been just as great seeing my boys experience it as well.

I actually pursued making one into a sub enclosure.  I still have it.  I'll try to grab some pictures of it tomorrow.  I had a company make a plug as a proof of concept and was thinking about going mass production with it, but never took it anywhere.  I'd consider selling it at this point.

Wouldn't its removability make it a PITA to swap?

Definitely a little less portable.  We always just left it there behind the driver seat, but it had quick connects that allowed us to move it pretty easily.  It was definitely heavier than the normal setup.  It provided some amazing bass though.

If you didn't want to use it as sub, it still makes a great jump seat.  We used it in my SLxi.  I believe it was white/moonbeam with blue piping.  I'll grab it down off the shelf in a bit and grab some pictures.

Our place in SW MI was on Shafer Lake in Lawrence township.  Can't tell you how many times people were like "oh yeah, with the crow!" when describing our place and I'd have to correct them, wrong state.
