Double up the cover for winter storage?

Hey Crew, I have a winter cover to store the boat outside, just wondering if there is any benefit of running the basic black cover with the winter cover over top of it?

Last year I only had the winter cover on it, but I was thinking it may be better to have 2? Here is how it looked last year

De[pends where you are storing it.  If near the lake, then you could have condensation issues; if in a drier place like YYC, then maybe no issue.  I'd say if it worked last year, why change?

My boat is stored in a carport, so it's covered but open.  Pretty dry where I live, but I cover with my summer Sunbrella cover and then throw a piece of crap older cover over top of it just to keep the nice cover clean.  Store dry in the boat in case of any moisture, and dryer sheets everywhere in case of mice!  Haven't had any issues.

You should have ventilation. I don't see any good with another cover under shrink wrap. Shrink wrap done correct is just fine! The wrap would be tighter if you did not have a cover under it. It takes heat to shrink it and I think I would be concerned to heat the wrap as it should be. And you can add a door to shrink wrap if you want access to the boat. I always put a zipper door in our sail boat so I could go inside in winter.
