Interesting video.  When did all the manufactures start using J2807?  I really doubt that the 2011 Yukon Denali XL I just traded in would pass the tests at the 7800 pounds it was rated for.

It has been a few years back when they did that. They were also talking about making them use the same standard for measuring power but I don't think that has happened yet. Explains why some vehicles with lower power ratings out perform others in real world test. I've seen some trucks on the dyno that were much less than the mfg claims they make.

It was interesting see how much braking power was reduced when the trailer brakes were disengaged as well as the explanation about how much the lack of weight on tires decreases breaking power.   The bit about the importance of understeer in keeping the trailer following the truck around corners was really interesting as well.
