Help identifying missing part on 2002 wakesetter xti

Hello anyone with a 2002 wakesetter xti help me out. The seat behind the engine is missing a part. Where the seat mounts it looks like there’s a plastic piece that mounts on the seat and it looks like it’s supposed to slide into something to stop from falling onto the rear shaft of the motor but there’s nothing there 🤔 I took some pictures. Thanks in advance!

I hat that exact same boat (23'). My seat did not have that long piece on the back. Only those smaller plastic blocks to keep it in place. Maybe added by a previous owner?

Nothing to help the seat from bending? Seems when you sit on the seat the seat vents and falls in... kinda dangerous as the drive  shaft is directly below the seat 😳 maybe the seat is just bad, could add a piece of angle iron across to hold it in place

We too had the same boat. I thought that black piece was on the bottom of the backrest, not on the seat... if that makes sense. To give the seat support.

Well I removed the black plastic piece from the seat bottom and screwed it underneath the backrest to hold the seat up so now you can sit on the seat without it bending and falling thru. Definitely thought I was missing something, thanks for the help!
