No issue with those hours.  I bought my 2000VLX with around 800 on it.

I didn’t at the time but the new owner does.  Lots of info on here about setting up the SV23 hull to surf if you search around.  @jhartt3 has a good setup with auto gates and ballast.

I surf this every week. I have 2 1k sacks plummed on either side of the engine. 600 in the belly and leave 400 full in the nose. I used a suck gate for a while great wave. I have now built and installed custom surfgate with an Arduino controller. Recently a guy over at wake garage took my code one step further and has a Bluetooth interface and an app for your phone. Boat is great. Skis surfs and wakeboards really well.

Mine has over 900 hours on it, no issues at all.

My '01 is in the mid 700 range, though it is in better shape than a lot of boats I've seen with 1/2 the hours and 10 years newer.  Care is way more important than hours.

If the cosmetics are crappy you can take a safe bet the mechanicals are in a similar condition...

Michigan boarder

I was in a 3 event jump clinic a couple of days ago and the MC that was towing us had 1,900 hours on it, original everything.  Looked and sounded brand new.  So it's all about how it's been cared for.
