Which BT receiver direct connect to amp...

I'm posting for a buddy who is looking at getting a BT receiver to direct connect to his amp in his boat.

It's a wood boat with thick bulkheads so the WS rocker style might be tough to actually snap into place. Also requires a rectangle hole.
I know there's a lot of experience here, so....what are your thoughts...

Option 1) Wetsounds Knob/Joystick - There is only one review, and it's a complaint that it's hard to turn the volume up and down without changing the song.   It's sort of a weird little joystick/volume control, so I could totally see that.

Option 2) Wetsounds Rocker Switch -  actually looks amazing... the only issue is I'm not sure how I would cut a clean rectangle hole, nor do I think this is probably set up to grab a 1/2" thick bulkhead.  Probably set up to grab a plastic/fiberglass thickness range.

Option 3) JL Audio - Some complaints on quality, but it's a drill a hole and go.

Option 1)

JL BT link

I have used these with good success.

The ONE review on the WS one, said that it was tough for him to change the volume without changing the song....is there any truth in that?

He didn't want that JL style so he didn't have to grab his phone every time he wanted to change volume. I forgot to mention that in the first post.
My fault.

My BT RS is mounted in an acrylic 420 mount that is 1/2 inch

And it is by far the easiest to use and most functional , we never touch phone once it automatically pairs ,  has to be remote powered snd grounded like any source

I had number 1, I currently have number 3. The knob on #1 came loose and was not as functional as #3

Both worked great. #3 in mounted in the dash while I had #1 mounted below the dash.
