Best Transom Straps?

What are you guys using for transom tie down straps?  The retractable ones mounted to the trailer any good?

Trailer mounted retractable are the best option and least amount of trouble. I had some Bass Pro ones I put on my ‘10 and the Malibu supplied ones on this one. The new ones are better quality, but really they are trailer straps. If they fail on you, you probably have bigger issues to deal with at that moment.

Best ones I have found are the Star brite Heavy Duty Retractable Tie-Down Stainless Steel.  These mount on the trailer.  Pricey at $110 Prime.  Think they are worth it.

I already have one of those star brite ones that doesn’t ratchet right after a half season of use.  It is probably just a lemon but I never had issues with my old boat buckles

I had a set of the starbrite replaced already too. They seem heavier duty but I too never had a problem with my boat buckles through 3 or so seasons.

I picked up the big set of boat buckles. I’ll report back after my first tow.

Ive got the factory starbrites on my 2012 trailer, still working well.

I had two sets of StarBrites break springs. Went with BoatBuckles SST. Much happier
