Against the wind

Pun intended.

i notice that when wake surfing into the wind it’s sometimes hard to keep up. Wave looks the same but easy to fall back and out of the pocket. Any tips. More boat speed or less? Something else?

Same as slalom in the course.  Except you control the speed.  My guess is slow down in the wind?

Just have to be a bit quicker on recovery carves and pumps, try not to fall as far back into the wake.

I have tons of experience with this as the rule is I have to go against the wind snd wife surfs with it if it’s howling ( jokes on her as she gets sprayed driving)

I try not to do the following but it usually helps 

move your front foot placement slightly  forward 

once you start keeping up more easily because of the more front pressure from the placement you can work your foot back again snd as @ahopkinsVTX said you get quicker with your moves and learn to keep up but the foot forward gives you that chance to put that advice to use
