Belt size

So my belt broke that connected the alternator. I brought the belt to the part guy and he said the belt that was on there was for a lawnmower 😆😆..we measured the belt..but my question is what is the stock size belt for a 90 malibu sunsetter

I have a 1990 mie 5.7 ski..is it me or I don’t see it

On my 1994 5.7 Merc the belt numbers are 57-13457 DF (impeller) and 57-48120 DF (alternator).  Your set up should be the same.

One way is to put a brand new engine in it and take a photo.  Another is to wash your engine and keep it sprayed with light oil.
