Or some sort of sixth sense.  Kind of like those iridescent green flies that show up immediately when you start to take a dump in the woods.  Where were they, and what were they doing before you got there?  Apparently they have nothing to do but wait for you to begin your activity... it really is uncanny!

My favorite was always the fishing guys in their light grey boats that go out and anchor in the middle of a lake in the morning fog with no lights. It got to a point where we'd have to make a clearance run first to see where the obstacles were. Then it seemed like once you started making your run, they'd move.
