Updating Stereo, HELP!

Looking to update the stereo in our '98 Response LX. Just looking for any ideas, or suggestions. Currently we have an old CD/AM/FM radio, kind of wanting to replace that with just a Bluetooth head unit, its 2019 we are not using CD's anymore. There are currently 4 6" speakers in the boat, all need replacing. No AMP, though there was one, and two tower speakers.

If anyone knows a of a good package with 4 6" speakers, head unit, and amp, that would be very helpful. I am going to eventually replace the tower speakers down the road. We are currently having the interior re-done so its the perfect time to replace all the wires, cables, speakers, etc....

Thank you for the help,

Yeah, change out the head unit.  You can get a decent BT/AUX in unit for 100 - 150 bucks. Or nice ones from Fusion for more.  I dumped a really nice Kenwood with CD since, hey - its 2019.  Crutchfield has good package deals.  And I think you have to pull your windshield to replace the front speakers?

I'm not sure on the Response dash speaker location but on my Wakesetter I got a Dewalt 90 degree adapter for my cordless drill and it worked really good.  Might be worth trying or some weird adapter for a socket wrench might work too.

And yeah I had a similar situation on head units and decided to just stick with it and I have a decent $60 EQ that I added just below the steering wheel for easy access to volume and whatnot.  I have a sony bluetooth or jvc one for $50 if you want...  Both work great just ended up using a different one.

I feel like having a head unit for the older boats is fine and just spending the money on the speakers and the amps for now might make more sense unless you are trying to go all out.
