2004 VLX Tower Takedown

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum as well as the Malibu boat world.  I recently bought a 2004 VLX 21 in hopes of being able to surf behind it.  However, my first challenge is to be able to fold the tower down easily as I have to go underneath a bridge every to get to our lake.  With this being said, I have the Illusion X tower that requires two bolts to be taken out of it in order to fold. Is there a way to modify this into a pin that does not require a tool for removal?

We have an Illusion XS tower and if someone lifts a little from the front to relieve the pressure the pins pull right out with your hand.

I have the same tower on my Malibu and I’m also interested to hear if there’s a pull-pin for the tower instead of the threaded bolt.  I found one on Bakesmarine.com buts for the Illusion XS tower so I’m not sure if it would work on ours.

The Illusion X has two quick rlease pins to pull out to fold quickly. It's the holes closer to the stern.  Does your IX tower not have this?  I belive 2004 was the first year of the illusion X tower so that era might not have a quick release pins? Somebody might be able to confirm that. Here is the link for the illusion x pins (Not the XS- 2008/2009 similar but different tower)  Also make sure they are secure becuase they tend to want to walk out over time.
