Beer goes to anyone that gets that movie quote from this tread title!  (On your own personal Whitecap beer account....

which would be better than money......thats an IOU!).

So here is my question.  Where do I get a physical key for my 2013 23’ LSV?  I went out for the first time, in my new, to me LSV, with one of my best friends.  It was “lesson day”.  How to drive at low speed.  How to set presets.  How to work the ballast and other systems.  Simply an awesome day filled with tips, tricks, and best practices for the LSV.

One of his recommendations was to always have a hard, physical key available in the boat when you go out on the water.  That way if the screens, or software goes dead, you can still start up the boat and get home.  I am very new to boating, and just recently purchased my baby.... my first day out - I don’t have a key - anywhere.  Just a code to start the boat. . So I contacted the previous owner (second owner of this particular boat) and he has no idea what I’m talking about.  He did not know if the boat ever had a key.

OK -  Enough back sorry.  Where do I find a key for my 2013 LSV.  Is it like a car where each boat has its own separate key?  Or is it like a lawnmower, where they all use the same physical key?  What should I do here?  Scratching my head on this one.

As always, I’m grateful for the insight from this community.    Just an awesome time out on the water, filled with joy, excitement, and my first ever monster wake!

Cheers to all of you!

This is some sort of "weird science" question, isn't it?  ;)

As far as Malibu keys go, I do know that there were 3 or4 keys for all of several years models.  Can't help on the 2013 LSV though - sorry.

Do you have a place for a key?  I know there was a year or two that didn't come with keys, only the keypad (But you could by a kit to add a key.) Can't remember what year.

2011 was the last years without key back up.
