Boat Cover Advice - TXI on 2003 RLXI?

Virginiaray

Recommended Posts

I have a new to me 2003 RLXI which has a thin aftermarket cover.  I really like the factory covers with ratchets but not the price.  I saw a TXI cover for sale at a decent price and wonder if it would fit close enough on a 2003 RLXI to be worth the purchase or if you recommend another source for covers similar to the factory covers?

Thanks in advance!

For trailering, mooring, storage or ?  It'll likely fit better than a stock Westland cover for instance.  But don't expect an Evolution cover.  Depending on usage, f the price is good, go for it.

I would expect it to fit OK. The windshield and top deck are different on the TXi, taller. So, I would expect it to be kinda baggy and need tall poles. So it will depend on what your intentions of the cover are.

Primarily for use as a mooring cover on a lift.  Then for winter storage on a trailer in my driveway.  Just hoping to keep water out and the reinforced areas to hit the windshield, etc.

I have a factory cover for an 08 LXI sitting in my garage, I dont know what the difference in dim's are between our boats but could part with it if you were interested.
