Between my wife and I, we just use "tight, and go" - as in get the slack out and hit it at driver discretion.  The driver makes the decision when to go with lake traffic, and if the rider happens to fall out of position in the case of prolonged wait (very rare), just let go of the handle.

You could be on to something.  The Cat5 cable on my 21VLX was bad, but the symptoms were much worse.  I'll have the dealer take a look.

Just delivered the other day. 2020 23LSV. Wes from Tommy's hooked us up as usual. Third boat in 4 years from them. I like some of the new features from our 2018. Flip down seat/step in the back is really cool. New dash/screens start up crazy fast. New M6DI seems nice and quite. Haven't surfed it yet but looking forward to it.

If there is no wind it's a piece of cake. If wind is out of the East its a b****...

We still do! It's nice to have consistency especially with 4-6 young kids in the boat. Then there is no confusion on what is said between the rider to the driver. 

Generally the lingo I prefer to use is "tighten up" and then "hit it". My mom drives me a good portion of the time (she's in her 60's) and this is what she understands best

Well delivering our boat this Thursday to the new owners! I will tell you I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my old color scheme, But This should turns some heads as well! Going to place the order this week, Bummed that they dont offer the Indy red MALIBU Logo for the 2020, Black will disappear, White....NOT and the Grey Well its Grey! I guess I can order a 2019 Red Emblem? are they much different then a 2020?

Grey looks a little silver/metal in person.  I believe the 2019 red ones are the exact same as the 2018's they just paint red inside the black chrome.  On this particular boat I'd go the black route and mute it.  But I did see a mostly black MXZ with indy red and metallic silver with the grey/silver emblem and it looked pretty good!

Glad you're changing it up and think the new design looks great! What's the interior going to look like?

 

As for the logos, they're completely different for 2020 and super cool. See the post a few above of a close up shot of the white logos. They're all one color (not chrome outline w/ black fill) and a whole different finish. Really neat.

Going with Dark Grey with Black accents, Red Pipping, and Some custom GatorStep Masons going to come up with! I do like the new Logos But I wonder if I can special order the Indy red? None of the other colors will look good at all, Boring(: Maybe I can have them wrapped?

I know you've done this before, but I'd be careful on black accents. I'd only do black on the piping or cushion panel. They get real hot. I got on a boat in the water that had graphite next to black accents and even the small amount got hot. Just my two cents.

The custom GatorStep will be dope! Black over red would be sweet. I know you had black in your other boat. Can always ask if they'll do special order! I'm not sure on that one.

Ya I did not notice the Black as a problem, But we dont get that hot here, Average about 80 ish Yes I think Mason has some great ideas for the Gator step! Stay tuned

OK It's Official, Spray Date: Oct 31st. Such a spooky cool date! I'm beyond stoked on this new 2020. I opted to go with the M6DI ( I have never had anything but  base motors in all my boats! ) This makes me excited! I really love the new operating system on the helm! Love the thicker seat material! And as a last minute add,  thanks to some awesome special people, the new swim step! My daughter was bummed it wasn't on the build sheet! So now everyone is happy! Mason from Gatorstep will be creating our Flooring, cant wait to see what he comes up with! Count down to Spring!!! ( Too Soon?

That is one beautiful  boat! Can’t wait to see the pics on the water. Pictures never do them justice. Especially the pics from the boat builder.

You can change the mixer with the sport knob?  I didn’t know that. Our mixer, if it works, updates 30+ seconds after you push the up or down arrows. It’s so painful coming from a WS420 on my last boat.
