Ballast Monitoring System

I own a 2008 Wakesetter 247 with the graphical in-dash display. The Ballast Monitoring System (BMS) shows the level in each of the ballast in 1/4 tank increments. My tanks seem to be filling and draining fine; however, the BMS is not registering on any of the tanks. If only one wasn’t working, I would think a float was stuck, but none are registering. Just shows empty. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.   Thanks

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.     BTW, when I push the button on the in-dash display for BALLAST, it displays properly...just isn’t showing any water level...just appears as though each tank is empty. I’m stumped.

I have the same issue. Trying to figure out a way to fix and include the additional fatsacs. Am assuming there is some sending unit (like the fuel sending unit) that the BMS is receiving from. Have a couple of projects before I get to this fix, but will update when I get to it!

Just found this thread as well -

I have the same issue on my 2006 23 LSV with factory MLS. I am planning on attempting to fix those when I install my upgraded ballast kit (if it ever comes off backorder).  Bow works, all the others show notta.

There are a lot of topics over the years on how much these systems suck.  All my friends who own older Malibu boats have trouble with them.  Mine works sometimes and sometimes it does not.  There is a float in all the 4 hard tanks they go bad and I have read can be replaced.  Its easy to check with a voltmeter to see if the sending unit in the float is actually sending a signal or not.  You have to get to them that is the problem.
