Adding a Heatercraft to a 2018 VLX 6.2L

Anybody have experience in adding a heater to the  6.2L 410 engines?   Looking for general tips on hose routing and interface to the Malibu screens?  I am guessing tapping into the closed loop circuit would be more efficient in terms of constant warmer temps compared to the raw water circuit?   Any tips, guidance would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with that specific engine, but yes, you want to use the coolant, not raw water for your heater.

Most applications have the water leaving the block via the intake manifold (usually by removing a plug near the thermostat and installing a nipple), then returning the water via the circulation pump (by removing a plug just above the J Hose and installing a nipple).  Installing a small DC hot water pump can vastly improve the heater's performance at low idle or when the engine is off.
