Hi guys,

My driver control panel for the JBL MBB-3.4 has a sticky volume button and I may look at replacing the control panel, would this part still be available?

Hey everyone. I have the same problem with my controller. The volume increase button sticks if someone uses that remote. Currently I have that remote disconnected. Wondering if anyone has found a replacement part?

Prospec is the actual manufacturer, they just trade under the JBL lable, along with others. It would be rare for any of the current interfaces to still be compatible with one of your generation, Manufactures have a habit of turning over the connector styles and communication ptotocol every 4-5 years. May be worth contacting the manufacturer and see  what they might be able to offer.

I actually lucked out and got connected to someone at Prospec on the phone and they were able to tell me the first replacement part number.  The main remote in the walk-thru area was a direct replacement with the same interface plug.  (only black rather than chrome and was not branded Malibu).  The rear remote was the same style but required an additional adaptor to connect to the existing wiring.  Due to the general age of the boat I ordered both front and rear remotes to ensure I would not have future trouble with the rear remote.  Both remotes and the adaptor ran $160.
