'19 Transom Remote - Settings different than main unit?

I was messing around with the transom remote and found preset EQ settings (i.e. Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc.) along with a 'LOUD' setting. I cycled and selected one of the presets but didn't stick with it long enough to hear much difference. The Loud came on for about 1/2 a second and went off again...tried several times with the same result. Returning to the main unit I found that my EQ/Mixer settings had all returned to default.

The main unit doesn't offer a loud setting or any EQ presets. This is curious...why does the transom remote seem to offer more adjustments than the main unit, even if they can't be applied to the system?
