2017 VLX main amp going into protection mode

Getting one long one short red led which looks like "short protect channel 1 or 2" but I'm not sure where to look at this point. Hoping one of you stereo gurus will help me out.

Its indicating there is a short on chnl 1/2. Could be a speaker, pinched wire or internal of the amp. You can disconnect a speaker one at a time and see if the amp returns to normal mode, but if its a shorted speaker harness, the issue will still be present until you de-pin the speaker lead at the amp connector or ohm out each lead.

Couldn’t reproduce this today. So frustrating. I know it’s waiting until I have a full boat on the lake. Rotary joystick still has a mind of its own. As a workaround I just unclipped it.

Took to the dealer. They couldn't reproduce. Back on the lake-worked great for about an hour then bam! back off. Will run from 5-10 minutes or an hour. What kind of short is this? I would think it either was there or was not. I secured video of the flashing lights this time to take to the dealer. Super frustrating.
