Shift knob for a 2008 LSV

Recommended Posts

The chrome is starting to flake on the top of my shift knob.  It was used on other models besides my LSV in 2008.  Any ideas on where to get one?  Tried Bakes and Great Lakes Skipper.  No luck there.

Here are a couple of images of what it looks like.

The chrome is flaking off and is sharp.  I like the idea of painting.  Could remove it, sand the remaining chrome off, and paint it or just polish the black plastic underneath.

The dealer is checking on a price.  I am afraid to hear what they say!

I am pretty sure those knobs just unscrew from the top and you can put a number of different knobs on there.  I know on my 2010 I changed mine when I first purchased the boat but that was a while ago.  My shifter is also slightly different so it might not be the same to swap to a different knob.

BSUBU, it has a push-button on the top of it to allow you to move it out of neutral.  Would need to find a knob that has that feature.

Could be an option.  Thanks.
