Hello, I’m new to the site.  Recently acquired a 2007 237lsv with 383 hammerhead.

Awesome craft!  Runs great, but sometimes when I shut off and float for a couple minutes...it fires right back up. But then reads engine fault and will not engage....All help VERY much appreciated!

could not figure bout how to post a picture of the error code. But reads:

Fault 1 of 1

etcpps2Range

SPN      64604   CM  0

Bad intelligent device or Comp

FMI 12   06    127

The electric throttle and shift handle at the helm has two peddle position sensors (PPS1 and PPS2).  If the voltage is out of range for one of them, there will be a SERVICE REQUIRED alarm and the throttle will only run at idle speed only until the engine is restarted.

You can unplug the throttle control harness and check for a damaged, loose, or corroded pin and clean or fix it as needed.  If there is a problem with the sensor in the helm control, it will likely need to be replaced.  There are other things that can cause the DTC, but I would check the harness and control sensor first.
