13' VXL random engine shutoff

Recommended Posts

So the green machine has decided to randomly shutdown(engine only) at varying speeds and times.  It immediately starts  back up, runs normal, control panel retains power, but the engine kills.  Oil pressure, engine temperature, and volts are all normal.  Appreciate any direction-

Zip tie the wires that go to the back of your push button switch to turn everything on. The wires will be hanging loosely. Same thing happened to me this year. Luckily I had a friend that knew exactly how to resolve the issue. Mine has been fine since.

Kill switch OK-We were able to get it out on the water a second time yesterday.  The engine hasn't lost power since I moved the wite connections around.

Control Screen haywire-it seems to be having issues- it's slow to power up, digitizing as if its going out, is indicating the surf gate out without being deployed, and lost surf gates deployment.  Any thoughts on the control screen issues?

It's pretty clear that you have a poor electrical connection.  Dive under the dash, then clean and tighten every screw terminal you can find.  If that doesn't fix it, dive under again and start tugging on every crimp connector you can find.  Something is loose.
