Shallow alarm

Recommended Posts

SCMalibu

I have a 2007 LSV.  The shallow alarm goes off often & always right after starting engine.  It flashes.5 & beeps. I can clear it but comes back on again & again.  It also does not work at all either.  Any thoughts or a way to disconnect?

I'm assuming that it happens when the boat is free of your trailer, lift, etc.  Check the area around the transducer (under the boat) to make sure it looks ok and can't trap air bubbles.

If it's ok, clean the power connections to the finder.  You may just have a low voltage condition.

Yes all clear under boat.  I bought the boat last year & previous owner said it had started a couple months before I got it.  Where’s the depth finder located?

I was able to cut it off. Didn’t realize that option was available on the controls.  So far so good!

What do you mean cut it off "on the controls"?

I need to disconnect mine too. Doing the same thing.
