Swim platform lights. Need help

So I decided to add some underwater swim platform lights this season because of all the night surfing I do. The dealership added the lights but they put them in the worse possible spots. One of the lights is completely covered by the surf pipe and the other is completely covered by the wedge. They claimed they put them on just like factory and I would have to pay for them to be moved.

Is this normal placement?? I will try to get some photos attached later today.

And this is why both you and the surgeon sign the limb they are about to operate on.  While I cannot comment on exact factory  locations, doesn't anyone think things through anymore?  I'd be POed

I am extremely P0ed about it.

I have tested them in the water you can barely see any light due to the position they are placed.

Not to sure on the lights. I believe they are the ones that come stock on the boat but I would have to double check with the dealer. The dealer did install white lights instead of blue like requested so that could be the reason they are not as bright as I like. *this will be fixed next week and I will have a better understand*

My water is fairly clear. I had a 2013 mxz prior with stock lights and had no issue in the same lake.

If you bought factory lights through a Malibu dealer and didn’t specify a location I can’t really fault them for installing them in the factory location. If your mxz has factory lights they were installed in the same spot. They have been in that spot for years.
