Dry stack storage - tower issues

I’m getting ready to start storing my LSV in dry stack. I need to figure out how to deal with the tower. I have the illusion and folding is a must for the rack storage. I’ve built a crutch to keep it off the dash. Do you guys still put a cover on the boat? Seems like the tower folded would be in the way. I have a brand new cover from bakes and don’t want to ruin it or the interior.

Call Bakes up as I am sure they could modify it a bit so that it will work/fit with the tower down. It might compromise the fit with the tower up(looser fitting?) Doesn’t hurt to ask them if they can come up with something.

The other option is a second cover designed to cover the boat with the tower down(going over the tower.)

For dust, bird poop, other bug poop, all you need is for it to go over the  5 (pickle fork ) or 3 corners and possibly the D ring straps and it probably will go over tower down

I hope to avoid buying another cover... If it will quit raining here I’m going to give a dry run on lowering the tower and putting my existing cover over the top. I think it will end up short since the bakes cover barely covers the sunpad.

If the rack is inside and you're just worried about dust and insects try this at Amazon.  Classic Accessories Stellex Boat Cover

I got the Deep V 24" and it works great over the tower and under the lift canopy.  2 years old and still like new. Use short bungee on the sides. It covers the swim platform on my 21 LSV.
