Cruise/Ballast Screen Removal - 2008 LSV

Recommended Posts

I don’t have that dash so I could be wrong, but look for a screw in the black part of the dash at the top above the screen. Or maybe even under the chrome Malibu emblem. Remove screw(s) and tilt the dash bezel forward

Not sure about an ‘08, but my ‘10 had a screw center mass in the underside of the top of the bezel and 2 studs epoxied to the bottom inside left and right side of the bezel housing. They 2 screws inserted into the fiberglass dash structure. I am guessing that dash has at least 4 studs epoxied to the back side of the bezel at the 10/2/4/8 o’clock positions that insert into he fiberglass housing as well. If you can feel around back there you might feel the nuts and studs. If you get it out, when you put it back only get the nuts had tight or you will rip the studs out of the epoxy.

Have the emblem off but no visibility on the other studs from below in the fiberglass may need to do some more looking

On my 07 the 2 screws that held the Malibu Emblem, also held the gauges. along with one screw straight up and center of the bezel. So just 3 screws holding it.
