'98 Sportster LX - Replacement stereo recomendations

Looking for a decent stereo replacement for my '98 Sportster LX (receiver and speakers). Any recommendations?

Stereo is an old Pyle, that works sporadically, looking for middle of the road, nothing over the top.

Thanks!

I think you might have to pull the windshield to change the dash speakers.  I went with a cheap Bluetooth stereo - that is all I can say about that.  BTW, be sure to mark your wires as that vintage of boat did not use EIA standard wiring.

For that boat (similar to mine) the best combo is 4 speakers (Polk), head unit or simple input device for streaming, a 40 watt amp, and a self powered sub.  It will sound great at speed or at a cove.

JVC has a decent mech-less single DIN with BT, front USB and AUX. For a step up, look at a Clarion, Fusion or Aquatic AV. For a non traditional single DIN. Kicker, Wet Sounds, JL and Rockford have some solid units, some offer 2 or more zone volume control.
