Handles, heads, and other limbs: a PSA

Just a reminder to please be smart about how you're using your equipment.  If you're a frequent shortliner, or a barefooter, please consider a handle-guard.  Probably not a terrible idea for wakeboarders either as I've seen busted arms from failed handle passes before.

That's terrifying and also the reason I either pull the handle or make sure it's well wrapped up in the boom cables if someone's staying on the boom.  I had one close call on the short-line when I swung up to the boom to hop back in the boat.  Right as I was grabbing the boom, I ate it and managed to fall in just the right way to trap the handle between my arm and body.  It of course hung up on me for a second and then pulled through glancing my jaw on the way out (which still hurts like hell at barefoot speeds).  Scared the piss out of me (and everyone in the boat as the boom jumped), and I've since quit bothering with that move (and don't allow it either).
