Surf Setup - 2003 Malibu XTI

I am new to the wakesurf game and looking for a little help. This weekend we tried surfing for the first time. With the setup we had it seemed to be a wake that was PLENTY large enough to surf looking at it. The two things I would say is that it was steep and the wake wasn’t the cleanest. The problem we had was it seemed like we were never able to find that push. Here’s our setup below. (I’m going to snap a few pictures this weekend of the wake).

- Wakesurf Edge Mega Wakeshaper

- Rear hard tanks and center bag full

- 540 lb fat sac in stern floor

- Approximately 900 lbs body weight in the rear and 200 lbs body weight in the front.

Any suggestions?

Probably need more bow weight to offset the rear weight. What was your speed? Could be a bit slow too. Not enough bow weight and too slow is a recipe for a short, steep, washed out wave.
