New Malibu wax??

Recommended Posts

Hi, picking up a new 21' MLX. Which wax and boat prep are you recommending?

You probably don’t have to do much if any prep. It wouldn’t hurt to go over with a light polish and a good pad before a good wax. A lot of people like the jescar sealant for a protective finish. I haven’t tried it yet but friends have and they Boats definitely look great. I like meguiars flagship wax and have had pretty good results with collinite wax. Everyone has their own preferences.

Jescar Power Lock + is what I have used for last year on my boat and vehicles and like it. Holds up longer than the Collonite paste wax I previously used. Both go on and wipe off easily

But, polymer sealant is still a great way to seal your boat. Jescar with a maintenance of Boat Bling Quickie Sauce will keep it looking good all season long.

My boat lives on a covered lift at a marina 24/7/365.  I'm starting my 14th season.

Gelcoat still looks immmaculate!

All I've ever used is Star-Brite Marine Polish with PTEF, applied twice a year, with a top coat spritzing of Babe's Boat Bright every four or five outings.
