Tow vehicle and trailer light troubleshoot

Not sure. I ordered an adapter for the GL.  Apparently the vehicle is programmed for filliment type bulbs and their resistance?  I know its wishful thinking to think the adapter will solve the problem considering my testing results but if that doesn't work it's going into the dealer.  I dont have the time, knowledge or patience for electrical troubleshooting.  Thanks for all the help!

As I mentioned earlier this is what solved all my issues on my German cars... so there is a good chance it will solve yours.  The other time I had issues (Even with the right adapter) I had a blown fuse which was really hard to figure out since the trailer lights turned on but didn't work correctly.

I appreciate the input!  I read a forum with someone who had my wife's exact vehicle experiencing the identical issues.  Thank you for pointing me in that direction.  Hope that's it.....fingers crossed!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but for my BMW I had to get a relay box for the trailer lights that only draws a few miliamps from the car lighting circuits.  Pretty standard for new cars/SUVs. Gets power directly from the battery.

Get the model with built in breakers.

If the adapter doesn't work, I will look into this....thanks!
