Replacing batteries

Recommended Posts

Patrice Forest

I need to replace the batteries on my 2016 22VLX. It currently have 2 Quicksilver 24M-800 Starting batteries.

What do you guys recommend?    Starting batteries? Deep-cycle batteries?

Thanks.

I use a single deep cycle battery in my SSLXi, although years ago upgraded to a larger group 29 size.

you should use a bank 1 starting battery and then a deep cycle for the house battery. Some Marine batteries are labeled as dual purpose.

I went with Interstate 24M-XHD Starting battery and SRM-24 Deep-cycle.

Walmart.  lead acid is lead acid.  I have 5 of them in 3 boats and 5+ years on 4 of them.  Generally less expensive too.
