Canada’s retaliatory tariffs on boats lifted

Across the board - any boat from the US had it and now seems gone - thankfully so.  A lot of angles to this and at many levels - I'll leave it at that - but you could see it in the new and subsequently used prices here - but generally higher...so hopefully some reprieve.

I doubt it.

That would mean your dealers were swallowing the tariff which you said above the prices reflected tariff , so if they don’t fall its your dealers profiting from the additional margin

this is the  sliver of Justin where he’s smart , you don’t wrestle with the bear, of course he rolled over !!!

It was a back handed swipe at Justin, I know what he is like , but wrestling with the bear/Trump/US part is dead on, notice everybody is folding their cards in these trade disputes cause the bear is finally showing his claws after 20+ years of US giving away or never using our might as trade leverage with partners like Canada or enemies like China , Russia, etc

China is folding its cards and begging fir mercy !

Actually, it sorta works like this:  assuming a hypothetical Malibu is listed at $100K, the dealer cost is normally, say 60K.  On that 60K your dealer will have paid a 10% premium making the out the door cost of our $100K boat $106K.  You expect them to eat the 6 grand already baked into the cost?  What could happen is that the customer could likely order a new one for the same as the floor model.  Maye for even less!  So now the dealer is stuck with an old boat that he has to discount.  It is poor policy to flip-flop on tariffs without any sort of plan.  Like Trudeau's ever had a plan...

Hardly - only 2% of Canada's steel is exempted to the US tariff while 40% of China's is!  The USA simply can not afford to alienate China.  All your stuff comes from there and US manufacturing  will never be able to compete.
