No ZeroOff Signal

Recommended Posts

Out of the blue, my boat's not getting any info from my ZeroOff. I have a 2015 LSV 23. Where's the sender unit, and where does it plug in to? I checked in the Settings and there's no info at all coming from GPS so something somewhere is either unplugged or the antenna itself is dead.

I’d start with checking the connection at the puck. Is right underneath it and easy to check. If that’s good you can keep digging but I’d guess it is a bad puck. Luckily easy to swap.

Feel stupid saying this but where's the puck? There's nothing in front of my windshields.

There’s not? That’s strange. I’d have to look at a 2015 then. I may be at the dealer today and if they have one that is easily accessible, I’ll take a look.

Ok well I’m real puzzled now to be honest. I’m pretty sure ZO started in 2015. The module must be under the dash somewhere

Well. Problem partially solved. I don’t have the little receiver because when I had the GatorStep installed, the installers took it off!

i haven’t noticed because I hadn’t surfed until this week. Ok. Now just either have to cut a hole in the GatorStep or find a new place to install.

Thx for the help!

@CharlieBeaU did a good install that I’m planning on following myself for how to get the puck on top of the gator step. Basically just cut the gator step away at the hole for the puck and use double sided tape to re stick the puck to the GS.

Do the installers still have the puck? They aren’t cheap and I’d be holding them responsible for it IMO.

I’ve got it. Found it in the glovebox while trying to work out the stereo problems I’ve been having.

The gps puck should work from below (and through) the fiberglass!

I would plug it in and attach it in the spot below where it originally had been mounted. Use some good quality self adhesive velcro and at least give it a try before you cut your new installed gatorstep.
