Trim tabs as a wake shaper?

I'm wondering what the difference is in something like a trim tab by lenco compared to a surf system on some of these new boats, I believe it is Tige that has something similar.  Couldn't I do something like this instead of a GSA and get some plates CNC'd?

Obviously, would want something with the 4.25" stroke I would think and can't tell if that one has it or not.

The whole reason I ask is that with my 07 wakesetter I'm just kind of over the whole manual suction thing..  Also, with the curved hull none of them really seem to work that well and are a huge pain to use.

Oh and looks like these dudes are doing something similar, https://www.infinitywave.net/products/complete-kit-anodized-aluminum?variant=

The infinity wave product is a complete kit, much like GSA.  I think given their seemingly great support for installation and careful part selection, they would be the easiest way to go.  You may want to reach out to them to get a better idea of the installation time etc.
