DIY software update?

Recommended Posts

rx7mann

Have a 2015 22VLX and was wondering if it is possible to do the software updates without the dealer doing them? The closest dealer is 2 hours away and really trying to avoid that drive. Thanks in advance.

Give your dealer a call. They may be willing to send out a flash drive with the update on it. Others have done this in the past.

The dealer will either email you an update which you can put on a usb stick or like stated above they may just send you one out. Super easy to do.

Is there a way to find what the latest version of the Viper software is?

MY2015 Viper2 - 012016

Will say V1 or V2 at the end. Those do not matter. What you see above does.

That's the same version I'm at.  So assuming you are up-to-date, I guess I'm good.  I figured there might be some updates, since it's 2019, but I'm not having any issues so I'm happy.
