Swim Platform Pad peeling loose

Recommended Posts

wakesetta12

Should I replace my pad, It is starting to peel back on the boat end on both sides.  Has anyone else had this happen and glued it back down?  I am thinking about getting some sea-dek or gatorstep for the boat anyway. This is on a 2012 wakesetter 23 LSV

Thanks for any suggestions.

Clean, prep, prep and Marine/Shoe Goo with some weight on the loose piece worked for me. Ultimately went with GS which I loved.

My experience is you can re glue it but over time it’s going to peel up again. Replacing it after removing it an completely prepping the surface is probably the best way to go. Gator step is very good to work with and does very good work.

You can glue them back with a quality contact cement. MEK works well to get the deck surface clean.

3M 90 spray adhesive works quite well, surface prep is key.
