PTM mirror

I have been having problems with the PTM falling. And was wondering if I am doing it correctly.

I rotate it up and then slide it down. Is there a way to lock it so it won’t bounce up and rotate down.

If it hits my wife in the head again she is probably going to rip it off the windshield.

I have tightened the bolt on the side. Do they have different mounts? That one looks a little different than mine. I will try again next time I am out.

Thx

You should have the CFR 200. If you can see the red dot, it is not seated down in the base all of the way. I would pull the arm off to see that there is an elongated slot and not just a hole which would keep it from seating as intended. There could be other issues, like excess material that needs to be removed from the mouth of the base.

Thanks I will take a look. It is plastic and looks like that one. I will say I have not seen the dot but it sure seems to slide  down as far, as the slot is long.
