Front bunks not flat to hull.

2018 23LSV On Malibu trailer. Boat is all the way up on roller. The front 2 bunks have about a 3/4” gap between carpet and hull at rear of front bunks. Dealer says they are all that way. Can someone look at theirs and tell me if it is the same way?

Seems weird to me.  My boat sits completely on them.  Looks like the bunk needs some adjustment shims.

I guess since they are through bolted you don't have to worry about the bolts tearing out.

Yours is a boat mate trailer though right? Every malibu built trailer I’ve seen is like this and I’m sure there is more then one way to do it. All I know is my boat is dead center every time regardless of ramp factors.

Yes, boatmate. Given a choice I'd rather have a bunk support the boat😊  be interesting to see what the carpet wear looks like over time.

The majority of the bunk is supporting the hull. I see no issues with adnormal carpet wear. I would imagine the bunks are that length and angle to help the boat center to lead up to the bow roller.
