Trans & V-drive Specs???

Recommended Posts

Okay guys, I need some input. After reading post after post, researching every article I can find, and checking the manual. I am still confused as all get out and don't wanna screw something up, this will be the first time changing my own fluids because I am done paying my dealer $800 to change all my fluids and impeller. I have a 2010 247lsv with the 8.1 and a tag on the V-drive that says "Mobil Delvac Synthetic Transmission Fluid 50" but in all the reading I have done and even in the manual it does not say anything about that type of fluid. Its either Dexron-III/mercon ATF or SAE30 mentioned in everything but not one thing about the Mobil Delvac so am I completely missing something or what?? The transmission calls for Dexron-III/Mercon ATF and it has the red tint that everyone mentions so I believe i have that one figured out but the V-drive is not red so it does not use the same fluid as the trans that I have read about. I am beginning to wonder if I am losing my mind from all the reading I'm doing and things seem to be running together but please give me some direction. Thanks
