Underwater led 2018 lsv

Recommended Posts

I’ve looked at some of the past threads about underwater leds but can’t seem to find a clear answer.

I see where my 18’ 23lsv has plugs in the engine bay by the stern.

I’m not interested in running new wires and I don’t want to run dc converters, drivers, etc.

Are there not any plug and play lights out there?

And if there are, is that all I’d need to do, drill holes, and plug them in? Anything need to be done to the software on the boat to “unhide” the option in lighting?

I don’t know for sure but those factory wire connectors are probably just a positive and negative wire that you could easily splice into with any aftermarket light. Even if you order the OEM lights I’d be surprised if they come with a connector on it.

For the button on the 7” screen you should be able to turn that on in the display settings. I can’t rememver exactly where and it’s raining buckets out right now so I can’t go check our boat. Sorry.

So I went with the seablazeX white only.

I saw where I can activate the swim lights in maliview settings.

I also found the wiring harness that will connect to the factory plug/harness

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-85390/overview/

I also see there the factory led lights draw 1amp per light. The seablazex draw 2.5-5amps.

So the question is: do I need a relay or will these work with the factory harness?

All I intend to do is off an on.
