revisiting helm rattle from sub in 2017 21 vlx

so I've located the problem:

the leading edge of the black helm trim closest to the windshield is vibrating against the fiberglass underneath it. If I press down with my hand it stops. Others have been able to put some kind of insulating material underneath to stop the rattle but mine is tight enough that I don't think I can wedge anything under there. I can't find anything on how to disassemble, loosen or remove that piece so that I can put some weather stripping or something down. I don't even know what that piece is called! Has anyone done this or know where to look?

You might be able to get rid of the rattle by putting a piece of dynamat, or something similar to it on the bottom side of it close to the spot that rattles. You don't always have to have the sound deadening material on 100% of the rattling surface.

I was able to get some doublesided weather stripping under the leading edge. Rattle fixed!
